What Greenwich Mercantile does.

Greenwich Mercantile finds the lowest duty the law allows in an importer's own product and supplier data, and checks every shipment's documents before the goods leave the supplier.

Greenwich runs two apps on one product record. The duty reduction app reviews the classification, customs value and country of origin of each product. The pre-entry audit app reads the purchase order, commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and product data together, and sends gaps back to the supplier before the goods ship.

Greenwich also calculates the U.S. landed cost of each SKU before the purchase order is placed, so buyers can compare suppliers and countries on the cost they will actually pay. The work runs from the files and exports an importer already has, such as purchase orders, invoices and product master data.

Who files the entry, and who is the importer of record.

A licensed U.S. customs broker reviews and files every entry under your power of attorney: one of our partner brokers, or your existing broker working from the same record. Greenwich does the customs work behind each entry with AI: the landed-cost model, the pre-entry document pack and the product record.

Your company is always the importer of record and pays the duty. Greenwich and its partner brokers never act as importer of record. Greenwich can help a foreign company set itself up as the importer of record, with CBP Form 5106 and a customs bond, and then run the import work as its agent.
